Your account

You must give accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your content

You keep all rights to the photos and words you add. You give us permission to store, lay out, print and deliver them, only to provide the service. Only upload content you have the right to use, and never content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit or that harms someone else’s privacy. You can report a mag or leave a shared mag at any time from the app.

Orders and prices

The price of your magazine, tax and standard tracked delivery included, is shown in the app before you pay. Optional extras such as gift wrap or a second copy are shown with their price before you confirm. Promo codes cannot be exchanged for cash.

Personalised products

Each magazine is made to order from your content, so the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply once printing has started (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, reg. 28(1)(b), and the equivalent EU rule). This does not affect your rights if your mag is faulty: see Shipping & returns.

Your proofs

You can review and edit every page before ordering. Please check names, spelling and photos carefully: we print what you approve.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Hōju running but cannot guarantee it will always be available. We may update these terms; if a change is important we will tell you in the app.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country.
